By accessing and using valley-leap.com, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use this website or book wilderness expeditions through our services.
Valley-leap provides guided wilderness expedition services across various Canadian landscapes. Our website facilitates booking requests, provides expedition information, and enables communication between prospective participants and our coordination team.
Submitting a booking request through valley-leap.com does not constitute a confirmed reservation. Our team will contact you within 24 hours to confirm availability, discuss logistics, and finalize your booking. A binding contract forms only when we send written confirmation of your reservation.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the booking process. This includes contact details, physical fitness levels, medical considerations relevant to wilderness activities, and dietary restrictions requiring accommodation.
You are responsible for honestly assessing your physical fitness and ensuring it matches the requirements of your selected expedition. Misrepresenting fitness levels may result in expedition cancellation without refund if safety concerns arise.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by a legal guardian. Some expeditions have minimum age requirements specified in their service descriptions.
Cancellations made more than 60 days before expedition departure receive full refunds. Cancellations between 30-60 days before departure incur a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 30 days before departure are non-refundable unless the expedition is rescheduled to a mutually agreeable date.
Valley-leap reserves the right to cancel expeditions due to insufficient enrollment, weather conditions creating safety hazards, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, participants receive full refunds or the option to reschedule without penalty.
Wilderness expeditions depend on weather conditions. We may modify routes, adjust timelines, or postpone departures when weather creates safety concerns. Such operational decisions do not constitute cancellations warranting refunds, though we will work with participants to find suitable alternatives.
Wilderness expeditions involve inherent risks including but not limited to: adverse weather conditions, rugged terrain, wildlife encounters, altitude effects, and the remote nature of locations visited. By booking with valley-leap, you acknowledge these risks and assume responsibility for participation despite them.
While our guides employ professional standards and safety protocols, we cannot eliminate all risks associated with wilderness activities. You agree that participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, valley-leap, its guides, and affiliated personnel are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from expedition participation beyond those resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct.
We are not responsible for personal property loss or damage during expeditions. Participants should obtain appropriate travel and health insurance covering wilderness activities.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit for wilderness activities. You should consult healthcare professionals before booking if you have health conditions that might be affected by strenuous activity, altitude, cold exposure, or limited access to medical facilities.
Valley-leap guides hold wilderness first aid certification, but expeditions operate in remote areas where professional medical care may be hours away. You assume risks associated with limited medical access.
